5 Ways to Gain Maximum Enjoyment from Jazz Guitar Playing

Playing jazz guitar is a fun and rewarding pursuit. But, no doubt, this is one of the hardest instruments to play jazz on. It can certainly increase the level of frustration. Sometimes, I just feel like throwing my guitar out the window. But I always come back to it. Here are some tips that will help you get the most enjoyment out of playing jazz guitar:
1 Understand your motivation
First, it is always a good idea to think about what you are motivated to play guitar in the first place. Did you get inspired by listening to popular jazz guitarist? Have a friend turn on the instrument? Did you play to impress the opposite sex? (Do not laugh, that is the reason why some begin to play the guitar!) Whatever the reason, understanding your motivation may actually inspire you from day to day.
I was motivated to learn jazz and blues guitar, listening to one of my favorite guitarist, Norman Brown. When I first heard him play about 10 years, I said to myself: "I have to learn this instrument?" It was so inspiring to hear someone with such command strings. Then I started listening to many other jazz guitarists. Trying to get to that level and improve everyday has kept me motivated.
2 Manage your time

3 Get the right tool
Let's face it, you're going to have to invest not only time and effort, and money to make the most of your guitar. You must buy the right tools and equipment. I remember my first guitar. It costs about $ 150. I did not realize it, but then it really bad, in terms of quality. Finally, I realized that I needed a better sound, and I was forced to get new equipment. I was not really complaining, because I really gadget freak and I love new toys. But you only have the right equipment for you. No compromise. Buy the best you can afford. Surely you'll be happier and you'll probably sound better.
4 Be flexible
Understand that it will probably make you a long time to accomplish their main goals with the guitar. Learning the Jazz last a lifetime. You are always going to be learning something. If you do not learn something, then you're not going to grow as a musician. That does not mean that it will take a lifetime to become a good player. It just means that there is always something new to learn and explore. If you are flexible and constantly explore new ways to expand your guitar knowledge, you will achieve its main objectives. Most importantly, realize that learning the guitar takes patience and discipline.
5 Make sure you put
It's really important to try to keep a positive attitude and open mind when learning jazz guitar. It can be frustrating to learn an instrument, but the rewards are immense. That is why it is always a good idea to be around other musicians who are like-minded. This will help you start and keep going in the right direction.
Good luck!
